Free OCR to Word
Scanned PDF to Word with pictures and tables
Turn scanned PDF pages into a Word layout with editable text and table cells.
Open the scanned PDF
Add the original PDF and select its recognition language. A scan contains page images; recognition supplies the editable words while layout export keeps the page structure.
Recognize and review the layout
- Keep a copy of the original PDF.
- Add it to Free OCR to Word and run recognition.
- Compare the source and layout preview. Check text placement, pictures and table cells.
- Correct important words and numbers. Mark a missed picture region or rebuild a table area when needed.
- Export DOCX with the default Word layout option.
- Open the result in Word or another compatible word processor and review the final pages.
What stays editable?
Text remains editable, with its placement and detected font styling. Picture regions are retained as images. Regular table grids become Word tables with separate cells you can edit.
Review difficult areas
Merged cells, unusual fonts, equations, crowded columns and poor scans can need extra corrections. Layout preservation does not guarantee a perfect reproduction of every original.
